The Company
Andy Baker, a Tool & Die Maker since the 1980's, has enjoyed a satisfying career in manufacturing. For over 25 years the focus was on Die Making and Die Designs that service many industries. The scale and scope of dies, and projects encountered in the metal stamping segment varied widely.
The broad knowldge gained, inspired a desire to start Baker Tool & Die, and answer customer needs directly.
As the Tool & Die industry shifted due to foreign competition, labor pool changes etc., Baker Tool & Die shifted our focus as well. We diversified to include Industrial Valve work, Large Capacity Machining and Specialty Machining, generally small lots.
One of our strengths is training employees to build a smart workforce.
We train in the tradition of Tool & Die.
It is our belief that a machinist should not be limited to one machine (especially since we do not focus on large volume production). A machinist at Baker Tool will learn many disciplines and are likened to Tool Room Machinists
